@ Alicia: I'm glad that my hint helped!!
It's amazing, isn't it? Hope you recovered from the shock and decided against leaving the country
Just this morning when I drove to work, I heard book 5 again and I discovered that I really like the twins in OotP!
"You don't want to bottle up your anger like this Harry, there might be someone [...] who didn't hear you"
Talking about the pus-filled boils: "Yeah, they're not in a place we generally display to the public but they make sitting on a broom a right pain in the ..."

@ artemis
Well, yeah. I talked to my friend in Canada and as she told me it would be too expensive to fly there, I decided against it...
Oh... the twins! They're my favourite characters!
They're absolutely amazing, I just love them!

There are really a lo of very funny lines in all Harry Potter Books , but one I'll always remember is :
"(Ron about his divination exam) :
He had just made Harry feel rather better by telling him how he had told the examiner in detail about the ugly man with a wart on his nose in his crystall ball, only to look up and realise he had been describing his examiner's felection ".
It also is my signature !!

Actually there a toooooo much of good jokes in.
here are some just comming into my mind:
Ron: "Why spiders? Why cant we just follow the butterflies?" (that voice in the original makes the screne funny
Ron: "Can we panic now?"
Frame on the wall in the film PoA to Snape who just got left by Harry and Lupin: "Are you death?"
Loony after they got left by Hagrids giant-brother in the forbidden forest: "Who was that?"
Ron: "Hagrids little brother!"
Actually most Wealsey (esp Ron, Fred and George) scenes but Snape as well, as I fancy his way to talk
Hagrid sometimes get some laughes, too. It is really difficult to decide.
If yuo want to know my favourite part read Harry Potter book one, page one until Harry Potter book 7 last page

This are my fav.though I really have much more
Sirius
ettigrew's alive! And he's right there!
[pointing at Scabbers held by Ron]
Ron: Me? He's mental!
Sirius Black: Not you! Your rat!
Sirius:"I'll look for him later, I expect I'll find him upstairs crying his eyes out over my mother's old bloomers or something...Of course, he might have crawled up into the airing cupboard and died...But I mustn't get my hopes up..."
Arthur Weasley:"Oh I am glad I'm not on duty. I wouldn't fancy having to go and tell the Irish they've got to stop celebrating."
Ron:"Hearing voices no one else can hear isn't a good sign, even in the wizarding world."
Snape:"Or maybe, he's waiting to hear why you two didn't arrive on the school train."
*laugh*
Ron:"Poor old Snuffles," said Ron, breathing deeply. "He must really like you, Harry... imagine having to live off rats."
Hermine:"I hope you're pleased with yourselves. We could have been killed – or worse, expelled!"
That's it for now

First thing I had to think of was:
"You make me SICK!" (by Lily)
2nd:
"What's with her?", said James, trying and failing to look as though tis was a throwaway question of no reeal importance to him.
3ed
"reading between the lines, I'd say she thiks you are a bit conceited, mate." (by Sirius)
Than I desided, that chapiter 28 is my favourite "line"
and:
"Oh well, he ever made a fool of himself whenever Lily was around. He couldn't himself stop showing off whenever he got near her."
How come she married him? She hated him"
Nah, shi didn't.
(sirius and harry)
and there are, of couse, much more....

Mine is absolutely (and I wonder that it hadn't been mentioned before...):
Another favourite'd be in the sixth book, but I suppose we're not to mention THIS here, ain't we?
Oh, yeah - the movies:
'It's so badly injured that they will particularly have to take it off'

My favourite line?
I think every line would be a good answer for this question.
One of my favourites is the last one of PS:
"I'm going to have a lot of fun with Dudley this summer..."

My favourite lines are from PoA and deal with the exams that all three have to go through. I'm especially referring to the Defence against the Dark Arts test.
Here my quote:
...Flushed with his success, Harry hung around to watch Ron and Hermione. Ron did very well until he reached the Hinkypunk, which successfully confused him into sinking waist-high into the quagmire. Hermione did everything perfectly until she reached the trunk with the Boggart in it. After about a minute inside it, she burst out again, screaming.
"Hermoine!" said Lupin, startled. "What's the matter?"
"P-P-Professor McGonagall!" Hermione gasped, pointing into the trunk. "Sh-She said I'd failed everything!"

the best lines I kept in my mind are from the first movie:
1.when hermione met harry and ron on the train for the first time, she says to ron: "By the way, you`ve got dirt on your nose, there!"
2. when harry goes after draco on the broom, after neville had this really bad flight, hermione says: "What an idiot!!!"

I have lots of favourite line, but most of all, I like the things Snape says, he really has a wounderful sense of humor, so ironic.
"We.. we are alone aren't we?" Narcissa asked quietly.
"Yes, of course. Well, Wormtail's here, but we're not counting vermin, are we?"

There are so many funny lines in the books, here are two of them:
- Order of the Phoenix:
"You don't tell to shut her face. What about "Popkin" and Dinky Diddybums", can I use them then?"
I love that name
- Order of the Phoenix:
"But what are Dementoids in Little Whinging?", said Uncle Vernon in an outraged tone.
sounds like it's something from Star Wars
